Default What video card for large tv?

I am upgrading my computer and one thing I am looking at doing is getting a new video card. I want one that hooks into a PCI 2.0 express slot. I will be using my 42" LCD 720 tv as the monitor. This will be for games and Blu-Ray. The VC I am looking at is the XFX GeForce 9800 GT - 512MB. Will this work okay if I am putting it on such a large screen?

It really depends. You can use a fairly cheap fan-less graphics card on a large TV if you just want 2D. For instance this supports 1080p http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130069

If you are looking to play 3d games I would consider spending a few hundred dollars on a more powerful card.

Um, anything from the 4870 1GB and the GTX 260 Core 216 up will suit you well.

By 720, do you mean 720p? If so, that's only 1280x720, the 9800GT will do fine.
