Yeah, a PCEe 2.0 works fine on a regular PCIe x16 slot. You just don't get the benefits of the faster 2.0.
Sorry...haha the VRAM is more important for high resolutions. So you'll really only see a benefit if you're playing with a really big monitor. The 1 GB of VRAM is sorta just like bragging rights...
Don't get me wrong, it's still a good card, just not the best for the price.
