what resolution should this build play at?

i5-3570k
8 gigs of ram
corsair GS600 psu
cooler master storm scout 2

i got this build from Linus in his video
the only difference is the video card, heatsink and cheap gaming accessories

am i going to waste this build if i used a 1080p monitor instead of a 1440p

is there even a difference visually ( i know 1440p has more pixels )

One way to estimate if there's a difference visually is to calculate the pixel density (i.e., PPI?).

nah, 1080 is still good, you'll be able to have more settings enabled at 1080p over 1440p with the same fps, i just wished that 1080 displays(or at least 1600x900) came standard on laptops...

thanks i'll stick with 1080p since games this year and next year are going to be heavy maybe i'll buy 1440p monitor when i buy another 770 to sli.
