Default What processors are getting old?

Nowadays, what processors would you say are getting a little past their time now? Ones that you wouldn't really consider buying for a good gaming comp for example. I would expect all similar answers .. it's just me and my mate had very different opinions on this...

well I'd say that at the moment the only cpu's I'd concider for a good gaming system would be the core 2 duos.

Well that you considering. Intel is too expensive for the core 2 dueos. Theres nothing wrong this the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 for example , perfectly fine for gaming.

The lower end Athlons and Pentium 4s are now pretty much out of date.
