I'm gonna finish building my computer pretty soon, once I have every single piece in and running windows XP, what in your opinion should be the most important things to download after you get Win xp running?

sp2, and all the updates, then get Bearshare and download eminem songs, lots and lots of eminem songs

Load your motherboard software, and like Money_Man said, all windows updates. Reinstall your device drivers (video, sound, optical drive, etc, games, programs you use, etc, etc.)

not really...load in any games you play and update all your drivers then your pretty much done

That's one of the first thing I installed was games. I have to tell you NFSU2 has never been so fast. Transitions between load times have significantly increased 100%. I LOVE IT. No more waiting for that 5 seconds to load anymore. In a blink of an eye, it loads. Windows XP loads significanly faster too on my new setup. I swear I cut half the time it takes to boot fully into the Desktop.
