http://alienware.com/Configurator_Pa...de=SKU-DEFAULT

this with a couple upgrades.

upgrade the processor to from a Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5500 1.66GHz 2MB Cache 667MHz FSB to Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7200 2.0GHz 4MB Cache 667MHz FSB .

and upgrade the memory to 2 gig

and upgrade the harddrive to the one that says alienware recommends and that should bring you to 2499.00 USD

I heard that alienwares lappys are pretty good.

yea..i heard they are pretty good...from their own website. that's where.
alienwares are overpriced. i used to think they were pretty cool but when i went to newegg and looked at asus laptops i was amazed at how good but inexpensive they were.

no comp will last for 10 years not even a desktop still playing 10 years of high end games so dont count on 10 years on a laptop unless you mean the lappie not breaking in 10 years. alienware laptops are actually radiators in disguise.

get this instead. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220182
dx10 card

or this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220124

compman: i checked out the llink and the if u configured that laptop into specs similar to either of my links, the alienware would have costed about 3500.
