What is lapping?

Same with Orthos/Prime95. I'm stable when I first apply the settings and Memtest runs fine, but after a while it becomes unstable out of the blue and voltages/FSB drops do nothing to add stability. I end up having to reset the CMOS.

That's weird, when you reset the cmos and overclock again will the cpu run the same voltages/clocks? (Thinking degradation due to electrical migration maybe?)

What m/board btw? (I'm sure I've asked before but I'm getting older and the memory aint so flash anymore )

I didn't even have the RAM for two months, so degredation shouldn't be a problem. Highest was 2.28V for a short period of time trying to fix it, ran 2.19 24/7. Ran fine after CMOS reset w/ overclock, only to come to the same result. My Corsair's are over a year old.

It's a DFI Lanparty P35.
