What the heck? Files created in XP have no permissions in Vista!

I have a couple bootable CD isos on my XP Desktop So I put them on my 500gb backup drive. When I went to burn one in vista I was presented with. "you do not have permission to blah blah blah". Yes I took ownership of it and it says I have full control but noooo I can't use it still. Also the filename is green.

The files are probably encrypted (hence why they're showing up green and Vista is unable to access them.) Have you still got access to your XP installation that you copied the files across with? This should enable you to access the files and you can then copy them across in an unencrypted format!

Aren't Encrypted files shown as blue?

Actually, that could be compressed files. hmm..

Yup, that's compressed files. By default encrypted files are displayed in green and compressed are displayed in blue :)

They were encrypted but when I unchecked the encryption box it gave me another permission error (on the XP install WTF Hax?) So I guess I'll just recode the CD's.
