Hey guys could you take a look at this site www.digitec.ch and give a good reccomendation for a heatsink. I want to overclock an E8400, and I have the appropriate motherboard. I was looking at the zalmans CNPS9700 LED, any reccomendations? I'd post the link to the part of the site, but I can't since the web URL doesn't change as you naviagate through the site. CPU cooling is on the right under Case/ Cooling / Modding. Thanks a lot. BTW I know newegg is beastly and all, but I live in switzerland so this is my only option :D

we would need to know what case, the size and your budget.

That's my case.

My processor.

My motherboard.

I don't want to spend more than 100 Swiss Francs. 0.90 dollars is about 1 Franc.

Remember please pick out something from www.digitec.ch and the availiblity has to be green, as I need to get it tommorow, and if its not fully green. then i can't, green as in 6 little green squares next to availiblity.

On that site, the prick of the bunch is the Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme, it would outperform the 9700 which IMO is a piece of overpriced, underperforming shit. Availability is blue though...

If you can't get the Freezer, then the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is a good cooler too, anything but the 9700.

I'd go with a Xigmatek HDT S1283. It's a great cooler for a low price. It's smaller than the more expensive models. It performs just as well, though.

The S1283 isn't what I would call small, it's still 120MM.

And I agree with worshipme on the 9700. It's nothing amazing, there are better performing coolers for less money, like the S1283.

It is about 150-250 grams lighter than the other coolers.

You can put a smaller fan on it, though. They still perform pretty well with them. But, if a 120mm fits, then why not? =)

You said smaller, not lighter. And it would be kinda pointless to take off the 120MM fan it comes with for a smaller one :p
