Good evening people...

I'm not new here, I used to be on here many years ago but have lost my account info.

Anyway. To business.

I am looking for the best ATI X-Fire card I can possibly get for my system.

Though the problem is that my system is some what old..

I have the following hardware.

MB = Asus Maximus Formula
CPU = Intel Q6600.
RAM = 4 x DDR2 667 1GB of G.Skill Ram.
HD = 6 x WD SATAII 250GB Drives. 4 are RAID-0.
Case = CoolerMaster Stacker STC-01.
PSU = Enermax Galaxy 1000 W Power Supply
Optical = 2 x LG DVD Drives with all the tassle..
Cooling = HS&F
and also 3 x 120mm fans. 3 x 80mm Fans.

I was looking at getting this = http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/products/graphiccards/HD 5000series/5850.aspx#2

But to be honest I dont think I can. :(

I wouldn't worry about the RAM. It'd be a waste to pick up faster mem on a DDR2 system. You won't see too profound of an improvement, and depending on the kind you have (brand), if it's 800MHZ, you could try OCing to get it closer to that 1066 mark that the board runs natively. At least if you make the GPU investment, you can use them in a future system (which is why I say not to waste the $$ on the RAM..which really is a non-issue anyways).

im looking for something better then a ATI Radeon HD 4200

any suggestions i am willing to spend up to 70$

that is an on board video card and takes up 700 mb of ram by its self.

why would you get 2 of a single card? it makes more sense to buy one really good card so that you have room for expansion later on.
