Ok so really the only thing I need to buy is just the adapter? (sorry I am not a smart computer person at all lol)

You also need the wireless router too. So basically, you are shopping for a wireless notebook adapter and a regular wireless router. Do you have other computers in the house? Do you use broadband internet (cable or DSL)? If the answer is yes to all those questions, you need a wireless router.

YOur welcome. The wireless router can also be used on non wireless configs too so if your other PC don't have wireless adapter, they can be hooked up to the wireless router using network cables. That way, you can share internet between all your computers including your laptop.

call dell...if it hasn't finished production yet, maybe you can change your order to intergrated wireless....that would be better.
