What to do with old laptop...

I've pinched a broken laptop from work (Satellite L300), it works great but the screen is FUBAR (Cracked and broken) but runs fine with an external monitor. Any idea's what to do with it?

I Could remove the screen completely, reinstall windows, install uTorrent (with Web UI), Filezilla FTP Server and LAMP And turn it into a Headless Server but i already have my left over car pc for that.

If it isn't too loud, it'd make a great HTPC.

I would replace the screen, and let my kid to use it (to watch cartoons or something). Other option is to use it with tv - as media server. These are only my suggestions and what i would to.

It's a Toshiba. Recycle it or sell it on Ebay for some cold cash. That's about all it's worth, is a parts PC.

If it isn't too loud, it'd make a great HTPC.

It hasn't got enough juice to run 1080p videos otherwise this would have been my first choice.


In the end i've installed windows 7 on it, uTorrent with WebUI and Filezilla Server and im running it headless. So far so good!
