what do i need to stop getting spyware?

what are free online programs that block spyware, and adware, and viruses. I have firefox as my only defense right now(this isnt on my amd 64 system that has a firewall, adn norton programs etc.) but this is for my ratty computer.....which are good i know of sume, but i dont noe about the quality

why don't you install some of the software from your new computer to your old computer? i am not sure that there is no free software that can stop the spy-ware before it installs its self.

Adaware has some sort of auto protect i think www.lavasoft.com

Yeah Ad-aware SE is really good. If you download the latest definitions it get rid of everything + its free a must for anyones computer.
