an also is 3GBs of DDR3 equivalent to 6GBs of DDR2?

i'd appreciate the opinions, i'm trying to make the decision pretty quickly.

Which one of these is it one that you own and which one is the one that you want to buy?

3GB of DDR3 will perform at faster speeds but will not run as many processes simultaneously when compared to 6GB of DDR2. If you plan on running these standards on a Core 2 Duo processor then I would suggest you go with the DDR2. A DDR3 will be bottlenecked and it won't perform to full potential, thus being a waste of money.
