Default What is carrier baord

Can anyone explain what does carrier board mean?

Carrier board generally means the baseboard or as I would normally call it the motherboard. The motherboard or main board in your computer is, usually, the largest board in the device and it would "carry" the add on boards such as a graphics card, RAM, sound card etc. These are, generally, known as daughter boards. Have a Google of carrier boards.

No doubt others will have a different explanation LOL.
