Default What can damage a monitor?

My friend has replace two monitors and it seem like his goig to have to replace his new one. He has check his power cable, he has a power surge protector. Could The mother board cause damage to the monitor.
Or could it be his psu.

Hmm what brand are these monitors. They shouldnt just die. Should last for atleast 5-10 years.

Maybe speakers too close to the screen or hes Deguassing it too much (only do it every 30 mins)

Oh its when megnetic fields affect the colour or your monitor so you kinda "Demagnetise" it its nromally in your monior menu when you press MENU
