What is the best (mac vs windows)

I am about to buy a brand new computer and want to know what is better

just out of macintosh and windows what is the best, what would you prefer
both have good and bad points but what are worse.

Simple question (What is the best Windows or Macintosh)

Also what software have you found extremely useful so i have a start on what to look for when i go on download sites and go in stores. What is werth getting.

Please Help!!!!

Uhh this is all a question of preference but I'm DEFINITELY a windows person. Here are some reasons:

1. Compatibility; windows is more compatible with everything.
2. more community support (like here)
3. easier to upgrade the computer
4. WAY less expensive for basically the same thing (mac is way overpriced)

I will however say that mac is definitely good for media, editing, and other related things. I just stick with Windows because I like it (i have tried both)...
