What is the best cheaper video card for full hd video editing?
Hey guys, I'm new to this site. I do ALOT of video editing. I have recently purchased a 800 dollar video camera that records amazing full 1920 X 1080 HD @ 24mbps. Now when playing individual clips it runs fine with a few hiccups here or there. When I load the video into Sony Vegas pro 9, it gets horribly choppy, even when set to draft settings. Someone also told me that rendering times are based upon not only the processor but the video card as well. I was wondering is there any video cards on the market today for lets say best buy that are less then 100 dollars that would help me with performance and rendering times? A 3 minute video without many effects creates a 6 hour total render time.
Currently I am using a Dell desktop runnings windows 7 home premium. I noticed that I can't run any programs that are 64bit without an error stating i have 32 bit (as the company who sold this computer to me promised) So later I'm going to have to install a 64 bit version, great more money wasted.
