Wow, its saying that I can't burn dvds...it says right on the front of the drive that it can +,-. I upgraded the firmware and still the same thing...

This was happening in Xp to..

Try some different DVDs, maybe that batch was bad.

Goto device manager and find out the model number of ya drive, and post it here.

Hmmm, ive never used winAVI to burn discs, i just use that to convert. Is the drive ok in device manager?
