After years of RMA'ng and losing data w/ WD and Maxtor, I switched to Samsung. That was 3 years and 7 drives ago, all of which still work flawlessly.

I've had about 8 WD hard drives and 3 maxtors, and they're all STILL functional. -_-

But what I wanted to say was that I never knew Samsung made hard drives. Interesting...

Oh no, none of that was meant to discredit your post. I was just getting curious cuz I've seen a few people complain about WD/Seagate and I just wanted to state that I've had good luck with them.

i know it's a bigger drive, but with regards to reliability and quality how would this samsung compare with the western digital drives?
