Raid will theoretically work twice as fast, because it will separate the job into two tasks, therefore making it easier.

RAID...more bandwidth.

Example...(I really like this one).
Two planes 727 and 747 both full of people and flying at the same time. They both reach their destination at the same time. Just based on flight time and people transported, which one is more efficient? The 747 because it carried more people.

Same thing with RAID and the internet, bigger the bandwidth the more information (people) it can carry at one time independent of speed.
