have you tried actually deleting IE from your registry? I know its dangerous but if your desperate its worth a shot. The only other thing I can think of is to pop in the install CD and try and repair winblows. When you do that it basically replaces every system file that comes on the install CD. It usually fixes my problems when ever winblows desides to randomly corrupt itself.
