wd drive and time2 tablet

hi guys,
i have a time2 tablet and i would like to view movies and pics that i ahve on a wd drive but when i plug it in nothing happens, any ideas please or am i being a bit dense

I don't know anything abut that particular tablet but many Android tablet/phones need an OTG (On The Go) cable in order to plug in an external drive.

I have an OTG cable for both my Nexus 7 and my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablets.
