Want to try hooking up my computer to a tv.

I don't really know what the cord is on my monitor, but on this TV in my house it has an pc/vga input and i was wondering if anyone knew if i would be able to hook my computer up to that? I don't know what a pc/vga input is but it kind of looks like a computer monitor input.

no he only needs a tv card if he wants to watch/record tv on his computer through his monitor...if he wants to use his tv as his monitor he just needs to plug the monitor cord from his GPU into the VGA port.

Okay, does the back of your video card look like this:

or like this:

If it's the blue one, just hook it up with the same cable you are using now (VGA cable).

If it's the white one, DVI, you just need to get a VGA to DVI adapter cable or just an adapter, and hook it up that way.

Yes, the back of my TV has a port that looks just like the blue one.
