Default want to build a gaming laptop but have no clue where to start

i am willing to spend up to 800 dollars, i would like it to run games like crysis, gears of war, unreal tournament 3, oblivion, and call of duty 4, and also upcoming games like project origion


where do i start?

can you show me some builds in my price range?

Do you plan on maxing those games out? If so I don't think you can on a budget like that.

building a laptop is very complicated
so many small parts
and such a small work area
not to mention
the point of a laptop isnt to play games
(which is why i am going to buy a mac)
you can build a better desktop for the same ammount
and youll never burn your........... (for lack of a better word) lap off

okay, let's rephrase that then, cheap laptops aren't meant for playing games, $800 will not get you anywhere near a high end "gaming" laptop...

For $800, you'll have trouble getting crysis to even run.

Building a laptop is more expensive than buying one, and although I know next to nothing about it, it's probably not a good idea. ibuypower.com is the best way to go.

If you get a desktop, for $800, you can fit a 4850 HD into your budget, which can run crysis on high.
