Thats basically the case. If you get PC4000, then you know that your RAM isnt holding you back unless you go above 250FSB.

is 250 fsb alot? (i think 200 is the norm, right?)

yes, 200 is norm. 250 isnt a lot. 300 is a lot, at least i think so. Some people have gotten to 310. But 270-280 is good.

with the G.Skill PC4000, that could be a possibility. A good chance of it too.

yes, 270 is possible, the multi of 146 is 10x.

It could be possible, if your memory controller allows it. Remember, running A64s on a divider doesnt hurt performance.
