Default volume problems

when i adjust my volume from the taskbar with the slider, the slider just freezes there then all of a sudden my whole taskbar freezes and i cant click anything on there except for the start button. if i do click on anything, itll just have that error sounds coming out.

is it onboard sound? if so then go to mobos website and check for updated drivers

It might. Drivers are the easiest thing to try when fixing an issue.
