Any regular multimeter will work. Just use the two leads it comes with. Probably a whole lot easier to work with than adapters.

ok i have one of these. from what you said ownage i need to select the round switch to the 20V but what about the top little selector, just under the mini LCD screen?

I think you set it to voltage, which is the one on the far left. I'm pretty sure. Get someone to verify it for me.
