I have a review of Vista with my specs in that thread.

I absolutely love Vista. I'd never go back to XP.

Just curious what type of soundcard you have? Also I would say go with vista you've got a solid build there. After I found my Nvidia chipset drivers I love vista. Runs much smoother and faster than XP does.

If your building a new machine, why put old technology into it? Vista is alot better than people give it credit for. Go for it.

I'd say stick with XP. Give vista a little more time and wait until the driver issues are worked out.

It really does depend on what you're doing with Vista...

For business users and home users Vista would be fine and appears to perform fine...

Although, if you're gaming, nVIDIA and others have been a tad slack with their drivers and to be honest, suck when playing games

So, as I am a gamer, I am going to wait for better drivers first..But if I owned a business I would definately make the switch to Vista

Normally I'd support XP, but Microsoft will be getting rid of their OEMs/retail packages for XP Home by the end of the year, with XP Professional getting the boot late January of next year, I really don't see a point in getting XP Home for 100 dollars right now when you know that upgrading to Vista will pretty much be inevitable if you plan to play DX10 ready games.
