Default Vista- will a memory upgrade be enough?

I am thinking of upgrading my laptop to windows vista when it comes out, so I decided to go ahead and find myself a copy of it now to see how it will run.

I installed a copy of Home Premium, and it runs, but slower than I would like it to. Now I planned to upgrade my memory from 512 to 1 gig or more, but now I'm concerned with my graphics, which windows gave a "Base Score" of 1.0

I use my computer mostly for internet, email, im, media player, some web design and photo editing. Often times I do alot of these things all at once though also. So my question is will just a memory upgrade be enough? or am I stuck with crappy performance due to my processor or graphics?

this is my current specs:

1.30 gigahertz Intel Celeron M
512 MB ram
40 GB hdd

Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM) [Display adapter] (2x)

Conexant AC-Link Audio

so do you think it will run well enough for what I need? or should I just forget it unless I get a new comp.

I agree with Raffaz, it will run, but it definitely will struggle. I'd recommend buying/building a new computer, and if you buy one, make sure it has the Vista Premium Ready sticker on it.

Recommended specs:

here's something going for a pretty nice price on ebay if I upgraded the memory. I think something like this is probably what I would need then, agree?

I'd bid right now but I'm broke atm any suggestions for the best place to get a laptop at a good price other than ebay?
thanks

is the ATI Mobility RADEON X200M a good for video in a new laptop? I'm getting confused when it comes to video. to many choices and I don't know the names of them all and if they're good or not. I'm looking at this notebook here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true
and what do they mean that the video memory is "dynamically shared"
