Default Vista Transformation Pack

Is the Vista Transformation Pack safe to install?

I just heard about this so I dont know much about it and im not a computer whizz.
Is there any pc requirement for this because I dont have sp2

It works fine. Why would it be illegal? It doesn't make your Windows XP turn into Vista or anything. It just makes the theme and icons look like Vista.

ya can upgrade to sp2 for free from microsoft just search it on their website

last time I installed sp2 it my laptop screen went all black so I havent installed it since

Probably download corruption or whatnot. I'm using SP2 and my computer hasn't blown up yet.

As for requirements, check the guy's site. I think he lists it out...

I've never had a problem with SP2, then again it came with my version of XP. The transformation pack is safe to install, but uninstalling it isn't very friendly. I just installed the themes from it and that's it because if you ever want to uninstall it for whatever reason, it's kinda buggy.

^^my sp2 came installed already on my dell and on my other computer i installed it with no problems

I personally like this site. http://www.interfacelift.com/ You can download a packet to allow 3rd party themes and choose from a bunch of vista look alikes with custom buttons and so forth.

i tried it a while back and it worked fine. made some stuff a little bit slow though.
