A recovery disk is made specifially for your laptop, usually has every driver and occasionally has all the crapware that comes preinstalled with the laptop.

THe OS simply has windows.

You won't get any of the drivers on the disk. You'll have to refer to the disk that came with your hardware. Just download the ethernet drivers, and you can download everything from the websites directly. That's what I do. Most of the stuff on the CD's are pretty old.
