Default Vista MCE vs XP MCE

Well I have switched to Vista Ultimate, cause of the new media center. Seems really SLOW compared to XP MCE. Anyone else have problems?

Well back to XP .... again

Vista is requiring more hardware power, that's why it's slower. It's normal, as OSes grow.

I am pretty sure I have enough power (look custom in sig). Everything else in Vista is fine.

Hmmm... My MC works fine in vista, seems just as fast as the XP MCE's I've played with.... Any particular part of it that is slow (load, movie watching, etc) or just the entire thing?

Well a lot of things make it slow, like starting a movie (over the network, fast in everything else), starting TV, menus etc... It just seem really laggy. Never had problems in XP MCE.

What computer are yo running it on? Laptop? Try disabling Aero (if you have it enabled) to see if that improves anything.
