If i install Vista on my computer will all my files be erased??

Yes. You're installing a new operating system. That means you're rewriting the old.

Well, you can always get partition magic. This program allows you to make a new partition, on you current hard drive, without formating, or loosing any files. You can then install vista on the new partition, and dual boot..
