Default Vista Dual Monitor

how come doing Dual-Monitor on Vista is so damn slow?!
on XP its blazing fast, but most of my stuff is on Vista, so its useless

i tried turning off Aero, and its still rather sluggish - but things scroll a lot faster.

Primary Display:
Samsung SyncMaster 730B 17" 1280x1024 8ms LCD
Secondary Display:
Dell D1025 Trinitron 17" 1024x768 CRT

I'm wondering if it's just low video memory. Would you happen to have a video card that has like 512MB on board video?

On the same note, how much RAM do you have in your system?

It's defenetly not the video card. I am running dual monitors, and aero, on an x700 with 128mb of VRAM fine, but it could be your RAM. If you have less than 2gb, than I would recommend upgrading.
