So i finally got rid of the truconvert virus problem but no i have a WORSE Problem! Now my system is running sluggish AND programs are randomly crashing and i keep on getting 404 (Undefined) errors randomly (They appear to come from Google) AND Re-Directs to russian websites and also a site called my-porn-host?

Im at a loss because AVG AND Malware bytes cant find anything.

Im So close to just formatting and starting again it isnt funny!

Any Ideas?

Dammit,Ubuntu on my laptop has got to be the longest ive gone without reinstall due to viruses :p

Edit;

Im now resorted to my laptop because when my dekstop is on,the internet is quite slow and is very unreliable.

Well i would try a nod online scan which u can find at eset.com... also i would hijackthis IF u can (secure mode). I had something similiar and Search&Destroy fixed it.

i have a good recommendation, download http://www.combofix.org/ - combofix, probably removes ANY virus..boot into windows not safe mode or anything of the such..go to that website and download it..save it as like 123.exe but not combofix because most trojans/viruses disable it. after you save it, run it and let it finish, may take ten minutes to two hours, do NOT open any other programs while running, your screen will flicker and the computer will act like its goign al funky, this is normal, after its done running it will clsoe and a log will pop up. This should fix your problem. -Spec

Have you tried Combofix? Seems to have worked for well for others.

Have you run the virus scanners while in safe mode? That's the best way to get rid of the nastier ones. Also be sure to turn off system restore. They like to hide in there and will quickly repopulate your computer upon boot-up.

wouldn't it just be easier to reformat? seems like you'll spend much more time trying to clean out the virus, which i think a reformat would save you time.

Yeah im thinking that too - Im going to try a safe mode scan using AVG and Malware bytes and if that doesnt fix it,im just going to re-format.

Nope.

Tried it and the problem is getting worse,my routers logs are filled with attempted DoS Attacks and every second webpage i visit redirects me to this frickin video,and i get a warning from AVG Just before i get to that warning my of a threat (Epxploit Rogue Spyware scanner (Type 621).

If i cant fix it by thursday night,im going to have to reinstall windows on friday because i REALLY need to get some things done :(

Any last suggestions?
