Default virus in a partition

I set up a partition for all my torrent downloads, games and movies. If I get a virus will it be limited to the partition or will it affect c:/ as well?

Default Re: virus in a partition

A lot of them will corrupt your Operating system (most do) so therefore, the C:\ drive.
There are also some that duplicate themselves all over your system, including removable drives.

Basically, you are never safe. If you really want to be secure, run linux, then scan everything with ClamAV before transferring it to Windows.
