I had Avast for like a day, when I was trying to get rid of a virus.. But when it found one, I couldn't move it to the "chest" because it was being used by another person on the yada yada.. Ended all the backround tasks etc, but couldn't get it to work...

Ditto, I haven't tried Avira, but I am planning to install it on my laptop and give it a good ol' jervin32189 eval. Besides my Norton Internet Security can't be activated anymore. (too many activations on the same key)

Edit>>> Besides, if it works on my laptop, it will work on anything (Dell Latitude CPx PIII 650 MHz 256 MB Ram)

i've always used avast and avg in combination with each other. many virus protection programs conflict with one another (never try to use norman and avast, your computer will like go haywire) but ive never had a problem with these two.
