Default virus, adware, spyware???

hey guys, all of the sudden on my laptop i have a process called sunThreatEngine.exe, and when i hit "end process" it just comes right back up, wtf is it???

Do you have Counterspy antispyware software on your PC? It could be related to that.

ah, ok yea i do, im gonna uninstall it anyway, 50%cpu and 230mb of ram, its a hog, makes even my dual core 1gig slow WAY down, counterspy is gone!

counterspy sucks IMO. The detection is good but there's no reason a program should use 230MB of RAM unless it's a game. Coutnerspy is bloatware to me, go with something free like AVG antispyware, spybot search & destroy, or adaware. They're ligher on resources and detect just as good if not better.

Try end processes tree. That might work.

Or you know what you could is just use Windows Defender. It came stock with the OS. No third party software hoggin up space. Windows just need to come out with their own AV software, hehe. Then we'll hear more news on Microsoft monopolizing the antivirus software industry, lol.
