Technically its the ammount of memory to display an image on the screen
but in theory its the ammount of memory on the video card or if its onboard the ammount of memory from the main memory shared or dedicated to dealing with displaying images and video
umm this is in the wrong forum.
anyway like said above it is quite simply how much ram the card has, eg: 128mb, 256mb. buying a card is not just about this though
ya but the more ram your video card has the high resolution at a higher fps it will be able to run at (im taking like 8800 320 vs 8800 640 same clock speed
