Oh yes they can ... as long as your iPod is an iPod video. You'll just want to be sure to figure out the best resolution to create your videos for playback on tv via iPod. You can connect either through the headphone jack or the data port ... either will have cabling that convert to component (Red, White, Yellow). Which iPod are you working with?
