Pinnacle Studio Liquid Edition is very good for amateur video editors...

Adobe Premiere
or Adobe Premeire elements
OR Windows movie maker (it is on your computer already if u have windows)

I use Pinnacle Studio 9. It works good for your basic vid. editing. I also use Adobe Premier Pro, and After Effects 6.0, but dont know how to use them. Very advanced.

Out of the ones listed above, which best for beginners? Additionally, do these programs require a lot of video memory?

Of course it needs a good video card and capture card...When i come to think about it,pinnacle is the most easy to use so it is recommended for beginners.
