Default Video Editing

Whats a good video editing program these days? Im not doing any heavy complex editing, but I do want lots of features and be able to edit easily and efficiently.

For windows I use to always use Pinnacle Studio. That seemed to be the easiest for me.

When I was in my Digital animation class we had the best software ever for Mac but I totally forget the name of it :/
