Default Video to DVD+R?

Hello,
Does anyone here know what you need to copy a video to a DVD+R?
I have searched on google but results like "Purchase DVD Pro now" and adverts like that have come up, but i do not want to buy sofware like that....
Thanks to anyone who replies
