video card suggestion

enough for my needs. All i do is surf web play call of duty here and there, play a lot of counter-strike and planin on playin condition zero, warcraft frozen throne and maybe some bf1942 vietnam. im not a big gammer the only game i play everyday well almost is counter strike which ive been playin on me laptop with a 16mb vid card....... lol. I dont care on wat res i play really but it needs to be 800x600 or higer.

It is a gforce 4 mx, I had on trust me you wan't better then that, at least get a radion 9200 pro, I have had both and the 9200 pro is at least twice as fast as the mx and not a hole lot more expensive

Comment on the video card...

I would save for a little more card, such as the Sapphire Radeon 9600se for $78 bucks.

As for the games...
Counter Strike doesn't require much help from a video card as you know. Condition Zero...don't get it! Spend the money on a better graphic card. All of the improvements in Condition Zero are already in 1.6 that is offered by Steam. Condition Zero = version 1.6 with a couple single player missions.

As for Frozen Throne and BF1942...those are graphic intense games and will run MUCH smoother with a little more beef to your video card. I have a 9800Pro and I still crank up the graphics on BF1942.

Obviously yopu're going to want better; and there always is better - but don't if that is all you're planning on doing with it push the budget and make something else worse for it.

And try and get an nVidia! Just had to get that in.

The simple fact its nVidia; that their cards are generally better. I've never tested an ATi either - its just a prejustice I have.
