Video card/standby issues

Hi, I have a evga 7600 gt and when I put my computer into standby, the super loud fan stays on. Is there a way to shut it off when it goes into standby?

The Video card has its own CPU known as a GPU so the fan has to stay on in order to stop overheating, get some ear muffs!

But it shouldn't do it in standby though. But I don't know how to fix it, try different drivers maybe?

I'd make sure that in your BIOS, that the S3 suspend is enabled. If it doesn't, it partially shuts down.
