Does anyone know if ATI will come out with a Radeon 6000 series?

Not for quite a while. TSMC is having some major problems with 32nm yeilds, so ATI delayed the whole 'northern islands' (hd 6000) architecture and will be creating a new 40nm architecture, dubbed 'southern islands.' This will e a refresh to the HD 5000 series afaik. Not a ton is known about it, but speculation puts the refresh in December and HD 6000 in Q3 2011.

It's a pretty safe bet that they will, but it's highly unlikely until DirectX12 comes out.

DX12 should be in 2012 at some point. The HD 6000 cards will be out before the end of 2011 almost guarunteed. Llano is gonna be based with one of them, so it pretty much has to happen for AMD CPUs to progress.
