Default Video Card Question

Would I be better off getting an NVIDIA 6600 with 256 MB of RAM or going with an NVIDIA 6800 with 125 MB of RAM? Seems like the 6600 with 256 would still run the new games that have recently come out like Doom 3 and Half-Life 2. I guess what I am getting at is which one would run the games at higher settings?

the 6800 wil probably perform better than a 6600, the 600gt is still not quite as good as a 6800 but its almost there! You see the 6800 has 12 pixel pipelines and the 6600/gt only have 8! also the 6800 has a much bigger memory bandwidth!!

Well, I would say go with the 6800 if you are not doing SLi. If you are doing PCie SLi setup, use dual 6600GTs. there faster clock rates aid there.
