Hello, and sorry for the noob question, but I'm not 100% sure on how to check compatibility. So, these two items from NewEgg...

Foxconn A7GM-S AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186141

XFX PVT88SFDD4 GeForce 8800GS XXX 384MB 192-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150276

I would check the motherboard's Expansion Slots and the video card's Interface and make sure they both match, in this case, PCI Express 2.0 x16?

Thanks in advance

just because the card says PCI-E 2.0 X16, doesnt mean you need to get an PCI-E 2.0 Slot motherboard.
you can get any PCI-E x16 board, and they will all perform the same, unless all you do is sit there and perform all these bench tests. But in games in stuff, theres no difference.
one thing that you have to take into account also is the case to see if you can fit the card in, and a PSU to supply it.
anyways, they will work together

Ahh cool cool, the reason I didn't post all the parts is because I already got help from people in this forum (thanks again) on which parts I should buy, including a nice case and power supply. However, the only recent change I made was that video card and wanted to make sure it'll work with the motherboard, Thanks =)
