Default Video card max res with dual screen

Okay just ordered my second LCD today (W00T!) and I was reading just now(don't remember where sry) that you will need a video card that can handle both of the resolutions (they said look at you max res to determine). My max res is 2048 x 1536 and I'm going to be running two 1600 x 900. Am I going to be safe?

I'm not positive, but I think the max resolution is the max resolution per monitor.
I don't think you'll have a problem either way though.
